As a trained mental health therapist and an MBA, I offer three realms of counseling services: one for individuals or couples faced with the challenges of life, and one for businesses who need group therapeutic consultation for their team to operate with greater unity and productivity. Thirdly, I also offer Clinical supervision for associates seeking licensure. trainings and workshops on a variety of topics.
If you are looking for support on issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, parenting, (pre) marital counseling, professional burnout, and transition management, cultural or identity issues, then we can work together to improve your life and become more your authentic self. I believe that over time we become disconnected from our emotions as we defend ourselves in life. We can develop unhealthy coping mechanisms which served us as a child but no longer work. As a result, our past wounds resulting in depression, anxiety, out-of-control anger and difficulty in relationships. In individual and couples therapy, I help clients re-connect with the parts of themselves that block being self-aware, self-accepting, and able to live from an authentic place. I work with clients to understand the neurological and psychological forces causing behaviors and feelings and offer support as they learn to better manage stress and work with their emotions.
Professional Therapeutic Consulting:
If you are running a department, business or group, where relational dynamics are hindering smooth operations and productivity, then group therapeutic consulting may help. We meet as a team to gain greater understanding and trust of one another. Using your team's strengths, we create strategies for working more productively together in the future.
Clinical supervision, Training and Workshops
I work from a relational psychodynamic perspective, with emphasis on family systems, attachment theory and internal family systems. While I uses DBT, mindfulness and ACT for symptom management, I focus more on a depth approach with attention to somatic (body awareness). For couples work, I employ both Gottman and PACT teachings and theory. I also have training in Lifespan Integration, CIMBS and Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping). I provided supervision of students, and LMHCAs and LMFTAs at Mend Institute for 2 years, and currently supervises associates through my private practice. I also provide trainings and workshops for schools and business organizations. Topics include Stress Management, Recovery from Addiction and Diversity Training. See the Supervision and Training link for more.
